Great beaches, terrific weather , Nice Beaches ,Good weather (did I forget to mention the beaches and the weather?)
However, recently it appears many are not so enchanted with the Golden State. It appears to some that the- take your pick-
may have given some the needed nudge to ditch for more economic friendlier pastures
Over the past couple years studies have shown that California has lost a few million in population. The most common age group leaving are those between 5-15 years and 34-45 years- Young Families
“Nearly four million more people have left the Golden State in the last two decades than have come from other states. This is a sharp reversal from the 1980s, when 100,000 more Americans were settling in California each year than were leaving. According to Mr. Kotkin, most of those leaving are between the ages of 5 and 14 or 34 to 45. In other words, young families.”

“States that have gained the most at California’s expense are rated as having better business climates,” the study concluded. “The data suggest that many cost drivers —taxes, regulations, the high price of housing and commercial real estate, costly electricity, union power, and high labor costs — are prompting businesses to locate outside California, thus helping to drive the exodus.”
Is the grass Greener on the other side? for some it may be.
But most are still quite content dealing with the higher cost of living ,unique business practices and overall economic mentality-For Now.
